Brooklyn Food Events

Taste of Williamsburg Greenpoint; brews with Beerded Ladies; serious lobstah in Bushwick

Breukelen County Fair
Saturday, September 21, 1-5pm, $5
5816 Clarendon Road, East Flatbush

Bicycle powered smoothies, solar powered baking, storytelling AND a western wagon photo booth!? That sounds like our kind of party! The Breukelen County Fair promises to celebrate the borough's agricultural past with this yearly gathering. We're not so sure that solar powered baking was in Brooklyn's agricultural past, but that doesn't make it any less enticing to check out in the present! more >

Brooklyn Flea Goes to Washington D.C.
Saturdays through October 19, 10am-5pm
945 Florida Avenue, NW, Washington D.C.

The makers of Brooklyn Flea present District Flea, bringing a taste of one of Brooklyn's most beloved markets to the nation's capital. Vendors will sell art, jewelry, crafts and — but of course — great local food, like Chaya Tacos and Dolcezza Gelato. If you see the Obamas munching on tacos or browsing the furniture vendors to spruce up the East Wing, send reports our way. more >

Lobstah Palooza

The Well, 272 Melrose Street, Bushwick

Billed to be "most highly anticipated sure-to-be sensational crustacean experience of 2013," The Well is having lobsters driven down the morning of the event from the cold, salty waters of Maine to make this an unforgettable meal. Includes a full lobstah dinner and seven hours of live music. more >
