Brooklyn Foodies Supper in Silence [The Wall Street Journal]
Greenpoint's Eat restaurant hosts its first in a series of silent — we mean silent — dinners. It's designed to mirror the meals of an Indian Buddhist monastery. 

Brooklyn's first Whole Foods will open before the year is out at 3rd and 3rd by the Gowanus Canal. And guess what: you can work there! 

The successful brewery from the heart of Williamsburg is expanding to new corners of the globe. The city of luck just got a little luckier.  

A west-coast take on downtown Brooklyn and the area near the Brooklyn Bridge, with recommendations on restaurants, bars and more. They even discover Grimaldi's. Score! 

Urban Outfitters apparently wants to sell booze in Brooklyn. “We must ask ourselves, ‘Do we really want people drunk when they are buying their skinny jeans and ironic T-shirts?’” proclaims City Councilman Stephen Levin (D-Greenpoint). 

An all-star lineup of chefs, foodies and thinkers made appearances at the first-ever Taste Talks last weekend in Brooklyn to talk food, culture, art, commerce and more.
