Smith Street Festivale Des Soupes

Smith Street in Cobble Hill

The borough's only "soup crawl" get's steaming this Saturday on Smith Street, with tastes from 25 restaurants and food shops including Nightingale 9, Shelsky's Smoked Fish and many more! Judges rate the winning soups with prizes including bronze, silver and gold ladles. This "warming" and "delicious" festival is a fundraiser for the Culinary Arts Program at the local School for International Studies. more > 

7th Annual Craig Murphey Fellowship Fundraiser
Sunday, October 20, 7:30-10:30pm, $35
Brooklyn Brewery, 79 N. 11th Street, Williamsburg

The agenda is simple: drink unlimited beer, eat hummus and help raise money for an incredible cause. Craig Murphey was a tireless advocate for bringing healthy food to low-income New Yorkers and was tragically killed in a biking accident. The event raises money for the New York City Coalition Against Hunger in Craig's name. more > 

Enid’s Apple Pie Contest

If there's one neighborhood to support this year, it's Red Hook. The best of local establishments like Court Street Grocers, Mile End, Red Hook Lobster Pound, Sixpoint Brewery and more converge for this fundraiser, to nibble and sip on along with a silent auction.
